Court commutes verdict to Ingush activist Myakiev
The court has found Ingush activist, Bagaudin Myakiev, guilty of using violence against "Rosgvardiya" (Russian National Guard) fighters at a rally in Magas and sentenced him to 1.5 years in prison. Myakiev has already served four months more within his case and can claim compensation, his advocate asserts.

Ingush authorities distance themselves from creating national park on border with Chechnya

Armenian opposition abandons round-the-clock protest action in Yerevan

Russia refuses to comply with ECtHR’s decision concerning law on foreign agents
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) considered complaints filed by 73 Russian NGOs against the Russian law on foreign agents and recognized it as inconsistent with the right to freedom of association. The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
