Ecologist Vitishko denied clemency
The defence of Evgeny Vitishko intends to appeal against the decision of the Kirsanov District Court of the Tambov region, which rejected the motion asking to change his remaining term in colony for restriction of freedom. The defence intends to appeal against this decision at a higher court.

Investigators check involvement of militants in killing police officer in Nalchik
According to a law enforcement source, a colonel's neighbour, who has recently joined militants, could be involved in the murder in Nalchik. According to investigators, the police officer was shot dead from a submachine gun and a pistol.
