Defence to challenge extension of arrest and verdict of guilty against Karpyuk and Klykh
The Supreme Court of the Chechen Republic, which listened how the jury had pronounced the verdict of guilty against Ukrainian citizens Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh, extended their detention in custody until August 27. Their defenders intend to challenge the decision and the oncoming verdict against their clients.

Volgograd Anti-Corruption Committee demands to check legality of refusal to help residents of destroyed house
The families of the destroyed apartment house in Kosmonavtov Street have challenged at courts the refusal to provide them with a lump-sum material and financial help. The city bureaucrats by their actions had stripped the victims of help, Evgeny Oleinikov, the Director of the "Volgograd Anti-Corruption Committee" asserts.

Participants of conference in Nalchik tell about problems in interethnic relations
To preserve the interethnic peace, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) should intensify efforts to educate young people in the history and culture of other nations, and pay due attention to solving the social and economic problems. Armenian forces destroy its own drone, Azerbaijan reports

Advocate believes Karpyuk's life sentence possible
Petro Poroshenko has condemned the jury's verdict passed in Grozny to Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh and promised to struggle for their release. If Karpyuk gets a life sentence, it will complicate his transfer to Ukraine, said the advocate Mark Feigin, who had defended Nadezhda Savchenko.

14 people arrested after fight at Khovanskoye cemetery
The Presnya Court of Moscow has arrested Yuri Chabuev, who held the post of the director of the Khovanskoye cemetery, where a mass fight occurred. Lechi Yakhyaev, a native of the Astrakhan Region, was also arrested. He became the 14th person arrested in the criminal case opened on the fight.

Sixth Russian officer dies after road accident in South Ossetia
The number of victims of the road accident involving a bus with Russian officers has reached 22 people. Of them, six were killed, and 16 others stay in hospitals. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Eyewitnesses report on attempt to kidnap Ramazan Djalaldinov

Power agents report about weapons in house of Imam Yaraliev
