The photo show "On the plains and in the mountains: children's weekdays in Northern Caucasus" was opened on June 6 at the Moscow's Sakharov Centre in the presence of some 25-30 people. The exhibition features about 100 photos taken by children aged from 8 to 15 living in Dagestan, Ingushetia and Chechnya.

Investigators have started the pre-investigation check on the fact of the road conflict in Makhachkala, which, according to the media, involved a son of the Mayor of Makhachkala and his bodyguards. According to sources from the law enforcement bodies, during the detention of the young people, one policeman got his finger broken, and two other policemen got bruises.

The claim to the government of Kabardino-Balkaria has been filed to the Nalchik City Court on behalf of 15 persons. In their claim, relatives of the persons, killed during the special operation held in Nalchik on October 13, 2005, demand to reveal the place of their burial.
