In Kabardino-Balkaria, Russian geographers discover a cave at bottom of Blue Lake
On September 30, the expedition sent by the Russian Geographical Society measured a new mark of the depth of the Blue Lake in the Cherek District at 275 meters. Earlier, the mark of 258 meters was considered as the maximum depth of the lake, the Russian Geographical Society reports.

HRC "Memorial" reports wave of kidnappings of North-Caucasian residents
In September, in Chechnya and Dagestan, at least five people were kidnapped, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" has announced today. Rights defenders fear that among the kidnapped persons were those, who were later killed by power agents in the Tabasaran District of Dagestan and presented as militants, who rendered resistance.

CPRF members-hunger-strikers complain about falsification of protocols at elections in Buynaksk

In Astrakhan, pensioners ask to resettle them from dilapidated apartment
Starting from July, in Astrakhan, floor in a municipal apartment in Chekhov Street began to go down. The apartment is permanently flooded by groundwater. This was reported by Shakhmardanov pensioners, tenants of the apartment. They ask the City Mayor's Office to resettle them or at least to make repairs in the apartment. Ramzan Kadyrov threatens to evict family members of drug dealers from Chechnya
During raids, Chechen law enforcers detained at least 700 people on suspicion of selling and using drugs. Later, on September 28, they were brought to the centre of Grozny, where Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov threatened to expel them from Chechnya together with their family members. According to local residents, the number of the detainees also included people, who at the time of the raid could accidentally appear close to the suspects.
