Man, who has served his term for attempt on Kadyrov, arrested in Moscow
Lors Khamiev, a native of Chechnya, has been arrested in Moscow on suspicion of killing an Azerbaijani taxi driver. Khamiev has served his eight-year-long prison term for plotting an assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov. Sources have linked the driver's murder with the mass brawl in the "Neolit" Café.

More than 200 Georgian citizens leave South Ossetia after opening of border
The authorities of South Ossetia allowed citizens of Georgia to return home across the border, closed in January because of the outbreak of swine flu. The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
