The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the villages on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 30 times over 24 hours, including from large-calibre machine guns and sniper rifles, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports today.

Emin Sagiev, recognized as a political prisoner, who has been on a hunger strike in the Azerbaijani colony since August 18, has been transferred to the colony's medical-sanitary unit. There, he was visited by employees of the Ombudsperson's office, who provided him with legal advice.

Seventeen out of 34 South-Ossetian parliamentarians have suspended their work pending resignation of Uruzmag Djagaev, the Public Prosecutor General, to whom the parliament announced a vote of distrust after the death of Inal Djambiev, detained by law enforcers. Djagaev refused to follow the MPs' demand.
