Law enforcers knew in advance the potential places of unrests during the LGBT action held in Tbilisi on July 5, but they wouldn’t prevent them. Georgian authorities used radicals to deal with their opponents; and the attacks themselves were organized to disrupt Euro-Atlantic integration, the Georgian politicians interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported on the shelling delivered by Armenian units in the responsibility zone of the Russian peacemakers in Nagorno-Karabakh. A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army was wounded.

On July 6, actions were held in central Tbilisi in support of victims of the July 5 unrests, and of LGBT opponents. A police cordon was set up between them, but radicals attacked the participants in a silent rally in support of the suffered journalists. Several people were injured.

An Armenian soldier and two Azerbaijani soldiers were wounded as a result of a shootout at the border in the Gegarkunik District, the spokesperson for the Armenian General Headquarters reported. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan denied the information about the incident.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) pronounced a decision that the Russian authorities ineffectively investigated the killing of Aslan Yemkuzhev, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, by law enforcers and the version that he was tortured before his death. The Strasbourg Court obliged the Russian authorities to pay 70,000 euros of compensation to a mother of the killed resident of Kabardino-Balkaria.

A shootout took place at the border with Iran, when five violators tried to enter the territory of Azerbaijan. One of them, a citizen of Azerbaijan, was wounded and died on the way to hospital, while four others fled back to Iran.
