Law enforcers brought into Dagestan village due to threat of mass brawl
A threat of a mass conflict has appeared in the village of Agvali in the Tsumada District of Dagestan after a brawl of the Imam of the local mosque with a villager. Armed law enforcers have arrived in the village; policemen took control over the entrances to Agvali.

Azerbaijani court sentences Yunis Safarov to life imprisonment
In Baku, a court has sentenced Yunis Safarov, accused of an attempt on the life of the head of Ganja, to life imprisonment. Nine other defendants within this case have been sentenced to prison terms from 18 to 20 years.

Border villages of Armenia and Azerbaijan come under fire
Azerbaijani militaries have shelled the villages of Kut and Norabak, Yerevan has reported. However, Baku has refuted this information and accused Armenian militaries of shelling the positions of Azerbaijani military servicemen in the village of Yukhary, Airym, Kelbadjar District.

Second Armenian soldier killed on Azerbaijani border within past 24 hours
Arman Akopyan, a conscript soldier, was mortally wounded in an Armenian position located in the Gegarkunik Region during a shootout with Azerbaijani militaries. The Azerbaijani party also has losses, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated; however, this information was refuted by Baku.

Derbent women request investigators to report actions on complaint of torture
During a series of solo pickets, relatives of Derbent residents Islam Barzukaev, Gasan Kurbanov, and Mirzaali Mirzaliev have claimed that the promises voiced by the chief of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to control the consideration of a complaint about torture are not credible.
