Lawyers comment on appointment of a new examination in Musaeva’s case
A new examination in the case against Zarema Musaeva will also be carried out in Chechnya, lawyer Alexander Nemov reports. The results of the new examination will be attached to the case file, states Katerina Vanslova, the head of the North-Caucasian branch of the “Team Against Torture”*.

In Kalmykia, penal colony warders refuse to confess to participating in torturing prisoners from Dagestan

Chechen MPs suggest protecting religious literature from fighters against extremism
The Parliament of Chechnya has submitted to the Russian State Duma a draft law on a ban on recognizing canonical Islamic and Christian texts as extremist materials. Attempts to treat them as forbidden literature outrage the believers, the MPs have explained.

A video, in which law enforcers were reprimanding six schoolgirls and their parents in the Urus-Martan District, caused a negative reaction on the media.
