Rights defender Nagavkin demands compensation for custody conditions at Leninsk SIZO
In his lawsuit, Igor Nagavkin, a human rights defender, has claimed to be paid 900,000 roubles for being kept in unsanitary conditions at the SIZO (pre-trial prison). Authorities are obliged to keep detainees in accordance with sanitary requirements, a lawyer and a human rights defender have confirmed.

Police report investigation into actions of Volgograd propagandists
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is investigating a complaint lodged by lawyer Roman Melnichenko about incitement of hatred and disclosure of personal data of Alexei Navalny’s supporters in Volgograd by employees of a TV Company. ECtHR finds rights violations of residents of Ingushetia and Dagestan

Appeal court tightens verdict to rights defender Igor Nagavkin
After considering the appeal complaints, the Volgograd Regional Court has replaced the conditional two-year freedom deprivation term appointed to Igor Nagavkin, a human rights defender, for a real one. Nagavkin treats the decision as unfair and intends to challenge it.
