Baku court dismisses complaint against Zaur Gurbanly's arrest
The Baku Court of Appeal (CoA) has dismissed the appeal complaint lodged by Zaur Gurbanly, a blogger and an activist of the "Nida" public movement, against the court ruling to extend his arrest by three months more. His advocate believes that investigators are deliberately protracting the transfer of the case to the court.

Residents of TAC "Promzhilbaza" in Ingushetia go on endless hunger strike
On Monday, the refugees from Chechnya, living in Ingushetia since the 1990s, went on an endless hunger strike demanding solution of their housing problems. In total, 21 persons have declared their intention to take part in the protest.

Solo picketer Evgeny Zakharov released from police in Sochi
Evgeny Zakharov, a member of the initiative group for protection of greenery of the resort city, who was detained during his action near the Sochi administration, is back at large. Sentencing of ex-deputy police chief of Cherkessk postponed until July 8

Sochi: builders of Olympic facility turn to ICRF on unpaid wages

Convict for blowing up "Neva-Express" Train dies in Ekaterinburg colony
Tarkhan Kartoev, a resident of the Ingush village of Ekazhevo, convicted on charges of blowing up the "Neva-Express" Train, has died in Penal Colony No. 2 (IK-2) of Ekaterinburg. "The telegram was signed by Major V. Mikheev. My son had stayed in the IK-2 for just a week. Circassian organizations protest against Abkhaz conference held by European Parliament
According to activists of a number of Circassian organizations, on 28 June in Brussels for the fault of the Abkhaz delegation, the Day of Circassian Culture at the European Parliament was disrupted. According to their story, instead of that Day, another event – the conference "Abkhazia and Europe – Ways to Mutual Understanding and Rapprochement" – was held.

"Centre of Civil Initiatives" completes project on strengthening peacemaking role of women in Southern Caucasus
