In Krasnodar, the court has sentenced human rights defender Vladislav Nikitenko to six years of imprisonment and to a heavy fine. Vladislav Nikitenko was found guilty of defamation of a prosecutor, contempt of court, obstruction of justice, and assaulting a policeman.

On March 1, a kennel for stray dogs organized by the Mayor's Office was opened in the village of Semender of the Kirov District of Makhachkala, and the opening ceremony was attended by members of animal rights organizations of Makhachkala. The description of the video entitled "Stop Haram!
