Victims’ defence criticizes work of court in case of Dubrovka terror act
Today, the Moscow Sakharov Centre has started a press conference entitled "White Spots" and dedicated to the Dubrovka terror act. At the opening of the event, the lawyer Karinna Moskalenko said that the press conference would discuss primarily the fates of those who suffered from actions of power agents, who assaulted the theatrical centre.

In Krasnodar, human rights defender sentenced for defaming prosecutor and attacking policeman
In Krasnodar, the court has sentenced human rights defender Vladislav Nikitenko to six years of imprisonment and to a heavy fine. Vladislav Nikitenko was found guilty of defamation of a prosecutor, contempt of court, obstruction of justice, and assaulting a policeman.

Makhachkala authorities explain urgent opening of kennel for stray dogs by schoolgirl's death
On March 1, a kennel for stray dogs organized by the Mayor's Office was opened in the village of Semender of the Kirov District of Makhachkala, and the opening ceremony was attended by members of animal rights organizations of Makhachkala. "Stop Haram" project worries about morality of Moscow Muslims
The pilot release of the programme "Stop Haram" (Haram means banned Islam behaviour), posted today on the "Alif-TV" Channel on the YouTube, criticizes drinking alcohol and smoking in public places. The description of the video entitled "Stop Haram! I’m ready to die for Islam!" states that Islam Ismailov, the author of the project, "tries to convey to townspeople that drinking alcohol and smoking in public places is not just illegal, but also immoral."

Ramazan Abdulatipov calls on residents of Makhachkala to stop killing dogs and panicking
Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov has addressed residents of the republic with a request to "stop killing defenceless animals" and "stop escalating the situation." Abkhazian veterans oppose Ankvab’s participation in elections

The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
