Dozens mosque-goers detained in Dagestan
After the Friday namaz (prayer), power agents detained parishioners of the mosques in Omarov Street in Makhachkala, and in the dwelling settlements of Semender, and Pervomaisk of the Khasavyurt District. Makhachkala police stations keep 25 detainees, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.

60 signatures put in support of journalists
On November 2, 2017, on the 'International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists', a statement was issued by the international non-governmental organization Free Press Unlimited, which is fighting for the independent media's activities in countries with limited freedom of the press.
