Financial Times links Arashukov family's case with gas debts of Chechnya

The dispute over the Chechen gas debt takes place amid tough measures to combat the inefficient operation of the Russian domestic market, say reporters of the Financial Times. The proceedings against the Arashukov family were launched against the background of their attempt to take control over the money for gas supplies to Chechnya, believes Oleg Bondarenko, the director of the Progressive Policy Foundation.

ICRF refuses to question Dagestani leader in case on Gasanguseinov brothers' murder

US Embassy criticizes Armenian humanitarian mission to Syria

The US Department of State does not support any engagement with Syrian military forces, whether that engagement is to provide assistance to civilians or is military in nature, the US Embassy in Armenia declares. David Tonoyan, Armenian Defence Minister, noted the need to provide assistance to Syrian people.

Karabakh veterans support Nikol Pashinyan

In Stepanakert, more than 40 veterans attended a rally on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Karabakh liberation movement. The new authorities of Armenia took a tough stance on the Karabakh issue and clearly identified the need for the participation of Nagorno-Karabakh in the negotiation process, stated activists of the Karabakh liberation movement interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

Opposition urges Georgian authorities to disclose details of contract with Gazprom

Defence achieves release of Azerbaijani oppositionist Ibragim

ECtHR awards compensations to relatives of those killed in Chechnya

Two oppositionists arrested for 15 days each in Azerbaijan

Makhir Rustamli and Idayat Rasulzade, activists of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), detained during the trial of their party comrade in the city of Sumgait, were found guilty of disorderly conduct (petty hooliganism). The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
