Her advocate intends to request the materials of Tskaev's case and to clarify the alleged falsifications.

The international organization in defence of journalists, "Reporters Without Borders" (RWB) has condemned the verdict rendered in Azerbaijan to Mustafa Gadjibeili, the editor-in-chief of the website "Bastainfo.com". The RWB has called on the international community to impose sanctions on those responsible for such severe measures.

The arrest of Alibek Mirzekhanov in Moscow is a continuation of his persecutions by law enforcers in Dagestan, from where he fled after kidnapping and torture in 2013, Alibek's brother Mansur believes. According to Alibek's advocate, Mirzekhanov is imputed the involvement in the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.

The refusal of the Chechen authorities to mark the deportation anniversary has to do with the softening of Russian authorities' attitude to Stalinism and an attempt to stifle the protest moods of residents of Chechnya, who, together with those of Ingushetia, remember the deportation, regardless of the policies of local authorities, Caucasus historians have noted.
