Two attacks on policemen were committed on behalf of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court, in Chechnya within a week; therefore, it is beneficial for the authorities to explain the actions of one of the attackers by drug addiction. This is the opinion of the residents of Chechnya and Orientalists interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

The head of the region is not authorized to remove a post of federal forces, but the expediency of many checkpoints (known as KPP) in Northern Caucasus is questionable. This was stated by retired law enforcers after Ramzan Kadyrov's appeal to liquidate such KPP in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya.

Today, in Makhachkala, the police have set up two mobile checkpoints near a mosque, which visitors repeatedly complained about raids conducted by law enforcers. Eyewitnesses did not notice any detentions, but one of the believers reported about an attempt to bring him to a police station.

Islam Saritov, a resident of Khasavyurt, has suggested that law enforcers had beaten him up out of revenge for his complaints about torture and fabrication of his criminal case. The body of the policeman from Novokuznetsk, killed in an attack on a police checkpoint in Chechnya, will be buried tomorrow in his homeland, reports the Department for Kemerovo of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). The dispersal of the protest action in Tbilisi, during which dozens of protestors and journalists were injured, was a response to the calls for assaulting the parliament building, stated Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of the ruling "Georgian Dream" Party.
