Lawyer was removed from court room

On September 16 Yerevan Court Judge Saribek Aramian removed Lawyer Ovik Arsenian from the court room during the hearing on the murder of Public Television of Armenia Board of Directors Chairman Tigran Nagdalian.

This judge already made a similar decision during a sitting on September 11. Then he decided "to suspend Lawyer Ovik Arsenian" till the conditions of his getting an advocatory license were clarified.

The human rights organization "Helsinki Association" commented the incident at the court, "Lawyer Ovik Arsenian has often appeared at political trials. He pleaded for Janik Adamian, who was charged with slandering the President, presented interests of the family of Galust Dilanian killed in a police station. He is one of not many lawyers in Armenia who truly defends human rights."
