Moscow City Court will not consider the "Ingushetia.Ru" case

Today, the Moscow City Court has refused to consider the case about recognition of the website "Ingushetia.Ru" as an extremist one and its ban. The Court has found that the suit is outside its jurisdiction and redirected it to the Kuntsevo District Court, where the respondent - Magomed Evloev, the owner of the Internet resource, is registered.

The date of the trial is unknown. According to Kaloy Akhilgov, defendant's advocate, the remedial code has no time provisions as to appointment of the session.

Meanwhile, the advocate supposes that the claim of the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia will be rejected by the Kuntsevo Court either. "It's hard to guess what the Kuntsevo Court can rule, but if we remind the legislation on extremist activities and the law on mass media, and consider the violations of certain remedial norms by the Prosecutor's Office itself, I think that the claim will be rejected and left without satisfaction," Mr Akhilgov has noted.

We remind you that the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia initiated the suit on closing the "Ingushetia.Ru" website at the Moscow City Court.
