Materials on kidnapping of Aushev brothers sent from Ingushetia to Chechnya

Since the kidnapping of the Aushevs, residents of the Ingush settlement of Surkhakhi, was accomplished in the territory of the Chechen Republic, the materials gathered on the case have been sent to the investigatory bodies of Chechnya.

Today, journalists have been informed about it at the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Ingushetia.

The Office has also noted that the actions of the kidnappers of the brothers possess the attributes of the crime contemplated by points "a" and "g" of part 2, Article 126, of the RF's CC (kidnapping of two or more persons by a group of persons under preliminary arrangement).

The crimes of this category refer to the competence of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, therefore the materials of the case have been sent to the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee under Russian Prosecutor's Office for the Republic of Ingushetia for launching an examination and making a decision, and from there - according to territorial jurisdiction - to Chechnya.
