Trepashkin suspects his advocate Lyubov Kosik of cooperating with the FSB

Mikhail Trepashkin, a former FSB officer, has stated that Lyubov Kosik, his defender in the city of Nizhni Tagil, is working for the accusation and delivers his defence materials to them.

His suspicions in relation to Ms Kosik, who stood in the court for the cassation against changing Trepashkin's custody regime, became the topic of the political prisoner's letter dated September 1, the Radio Liberty informs:

"When I handed over to Lyubov Borisovna a message that a Chechen from prison cell No. 15 (the next but one from mine) had contacted me through the sewerage system and asked about the probability of the third 'Caucasian war,' this information became immediately known to the employees of the colony."

The news placed at the "Kasparov.ru" website runs that earlier Sergey Kuznetsov, one of the advocates of the ex-FSB officer, has stated that "Lyubov Kosik, an advocate from Nizhni Tagil, has indeed for a long time been an agent of the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office (CMPO) and the Federal Security Bureau (FSB) of Russia, which had fabricated a criminal case against Mikhail Trepashkin and are interested in physical liquidation of the former FSB colonel.

From the beginning of 2006, Lyubov Kosik has been performing, in the interests of high-ranking officials, special orders of the operative group that comprises employees of the CMPO and FSB of the Russian Federation, and every day her actions have acquired more and more impudent and aggressive character, which indirectly evidences the current many times higher threat for the life and health of Mikhail Trepashkin."

The "Caucasian Knot" reports that on October 2 a protest picket against prosecution of Mikhail Trepashkin by the authorities will be held in Moscow.
