Jury of Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria announced verdict to members of "Yarmuk" jama'at

Lawyer Tatiana Psomiadi has informed the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" that announcement of a verdict to two members of the "Yarmuk" jama'at has taken place at the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria.

One of defendants - Magomed Zhantuev - has been recognized guilty on all allegation points without any indulgence. The guilt of the second defendant - Ismail Baluev - has been proved only in the part of bearing a gas pistol modified into fire-arms.

Lawyer Psomiadi has told that the verdict was a completely surprise for her. In her opinion, the criminal case has a purely legal nature, therefore, it should not have been considered by a jury. The members of the jury at the trial were women, basically teachers. After the events of October 13, everything related to bearing and storage of weapons, of what Magomed Zhantuev is accused, causes negative attitude in citizens, especially in women.

We remind you that Zhantuev Magomed and Baluev Ismail were detained on April 29, 2005, in one of garages in the Kalyuzhny Street in Nalchik. At the same place, during special militia operation four members of the "Yarmuk" jama'at were killed.
