In Kabardino-Balkaria, militiamen sue out their overtime salary

The Nalchik City Court holds a trial under the claim lodged by law enforcers against the MIA of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) on collection of their salary for overtime work, work on weekends and holidays, and of other mandatory payments stipulated by Russian legislation.

The claim lodged by more than ninety employees at the same time, is considered by Federal Judge Zhigunov, A. Kh., who has sent a judicial inquiry to KBR law-enforcement bodies demanding to present the claimants' time sheets, orders and other proofs on the case.

However, as it became known to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, so far, the KBR's MIA has not presented the documents requested by the court.

The situation was commented by Timur Bogatyryov, the lawyer representing the claimants' interests and director general of the "Hermes" legal firm: "In my opinion, the case is quite clear: if the KBR's MIA is obliged to pay for the work of people who draw their difficult and dangerous duty, let it pay. If the Ministry has documents confirming that it owes nothing to my clients - I'm to withdraw the claims and lift all complaints."

According to the lawyer, almost a hundred law enforcers at the same time addressed him for legal aid in this case.

"I think that with the big share of probability it is necessary to expect any conceivable and not conceivable surprises from law-enforcement bodies. There are fears that all only begins," lawyer Bogatyryov has shared the forecasts concerning prospects of the claim.
