In Tbilisi, police disperses oppositional youth's action

At 2 a.m. on April 4, Tbilisi patrol police dispersed activists of the youth headquarters who were engaged in preparing a protest action on April 9 and confiscated their cars. This was reported by Dachi Tsaguriya, one of the organizers.

Young men were dispersed, when they were painting "Shame!" (or "Dishonour!" by other sources) onto the asphalt road to the Mtatsmind Park to be opened today by President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.

There is also information that policemen violently treated the oppositionists, namely, beat them and poured paint on them, as the "Interfax" reports.

The Mtatsmind Park was built by Georgian businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili in 2007, and now it belongs to some Arabian investor. The opposition plans to break Saakashvili's opening of the Park asserting that "President of Georgia has stolen another man's property," as the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
