In Dagestan, ROVD head attempted on

Today in Dagestan, in the city of Khasavyurt, an attempt was made on Ilmiamin Magomedov, head of the Khasavyurt ROVD (District Interior Department), was accomplished.

"An explosive was blown up on the route of the militia car with the ROVD head Ilmiamin Magomedov inside. After that, the unidentified culprits shelled the car from automatic firearms," said Mark Tolchinskiy, acting head of the press service of Dagestan's MIA (Ministry of Internal Affairs).

The "Interfax" reports that the incident took place at about 8:40 p.m. Moscow time in the crossing of Batyrmurzaeva and Excavatornaya Streets. Fortunately, both the driver and the ROVD head remained safe and sound after the attempt. The attackers managed to disappear from the venue. The "Gazeta.Ru" adds that the "Vulkan-5" emergency plan was introduced in the city.
