Hundreds welcome Patriarch Elias II in Tbilisi

On February 19, several hundreds of believers came to the Tbilisi International Airport to welcome back Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Elias the Second who returned from Germany after medical treatment.

Elias the Second addressed the population of Georgia and called people to pray: "The Lord will save us, and He has already helped me, having returned me back home in peace."

The "Georgia Online" reports that the Patriarch was welcomed back by the members of Sacred Synod, churchmen and ordinary people. From the Tbilisi Airport he made his way to the Sacred Trinity Cathedral, where the thanksgiving prayer was served for his recovery, as the Regnum Agency reports.

The Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia left for Germany on February 4 to take his medical examination after his hospitalization on January 27 because of acute virus infection.
