Kabardino-Balkaria: all seven casualties of special operation identified

The remaining four persons killed on February 11 in Kabardino-Balkaria in the course of a special operation held in Gerpegezh village have been identified. Three casualties were identified earlier.

"One of the murdered militants is Ramazan Bairami, a resident of Psychokh village, Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), who was searched in the context of the attack on a DPS (Road Police) post on July 7, 2008," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press service of the Investigatory Division for the KBR of the ICPO of the Russian Federation.

As a result of that attack, two DPS inspectors from the Traffic Inspectorate of the Baksan ROVD were killed - Captain Admir Adzhiev, 39, and Lieutenant Hasan Thakumachev, 24, as well as Khusen Kanloev, 27, a militiaman from the detached platoon of Sentry Service of the same ROVD.

The persons of the attackers were established after they left their car in the place of the incident and, having hijacked the patrol VAZ-2107 car and escaped from the venue. Then, they left the militia car and disappeared with sub-machine guns and a Makarov pistol (PM).

After finding out the owner of the car, the MIA operative agents detected the members of the Baksan Jama'at. Three residents of Dugulubgei village were announced into search: Aslan Karatsukov, 34, Auladin Bakaev, 31, and Ramazan Bairami, 25.

Zalim Getaov, 25, was in search from February 6, 2008. The 9th of January Street in Nalchik, where Getaov lived, unidentified persons shelled employees of the UBOP (Department to Fight Organized Crime) of the KBR's MIA.

We remind you that on February 11, in Kabardino-Balkaria, during a special operation in the mountain-woody area of the Cherek District seven persons were killed. According to the information presented by Tatiana Nauzhokova, acting senior assistant of the head of the Investigatory Department for the KBR of the ICPO, in the place of the incident the agents found arms, ordnance, 2 winter camouflage gowns, medicines, a map of the KBR, explosive components and striking elements in the form of metal balls. Also, an equipped dugout for 8-10 beds was found, stuffed with food, clothes and religious literature.
