Woman killed by explosion in the capital of Dagestan

A woman of 50, who was a passenger of fixed-route taxi, was killed by an explosion tonight in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan.

An unidentified explosion blew up in Makhachkala at about 9 p.m. today. The bomb was planted into a garbage bin in the roadside of the Shamil Avenue. The bomb exploded at the moment, when a militia UAZ van and a fixed-route taxi were bypassing the bin. Now, the operative-investigatory group is studying the place of the incident, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

According to preliminary information, there are no victims among militiamen. At the same time, an occasional woman, who happened to be in the taxi, has perished. According to the information received by the RBC Agency from a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, the woman was brought to hospital with fragmental wounds, and died there without regaining consciousness. It is not excluded that other people could be wounded.
