According to preliminary data, Mustafa Batdyev won presidential elections in Karachaevo-Cherkessia

According to the results of the preliminary calculation of votes at the presidential elections in Karachaevo-Cherkessia which had taken place last Sunday, CEO of the National Bank of Karachaevo-Cherkessia  Mustafa Batdyev won the elections.

"48.36% of the electors have voted for Mustafa Batdyev while 45.97% of electors have given their votes for the president in office Vladimir Semyonov", republican Election Commission Chairman Safar Geryukov reported to the Interfax-South agency.

67.43% of the voters in all took part in the second round of the presidential elections in Karachaevo-Cherkessia.

Meanwhile, Safar Geryukov said the Election Commission had decided to verify the complaint of representatives of the presidential contender Vladimir Semyonov that his observer had not been allowed to visit one of the polling stations.
