The storm raised palm oil from the bottom of the Black Sea and washed it ashore near the port of Taman, which remained after the February spill, volunteers reported.

Volunteers are again cleaning up the palm oil spills in the port of Taman. The oil had been on the bottom since the February pollution, but the storm raised it and washed it ashore, environmentalist Yevgeny Vitishko reported today on his Telegram channel, citing volunteers.

According to volunteers, a lot of palm oil remains on the bottom, and the problem is not being addressed systematically, the environmentalist pointed out.
