Participants of the protests in Ljubljana and Tokyo expressed support for Movlaev.

At the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, and in the capital of Japan, Tokyo, protests were held calling for the authorities not to extradite Chechen native Mansur Movlaev and activist Yulia Emelyanova to Russia.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 26, a call was made during a march in Tbilisi to prevent the extradition of Movlaev and Emelyanova from Kazakhstan to Russia.

On September 25, one of the participants in the action on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi held a poster saying "No extradition of Mansur Movlaev," while a girl nearby held a poster against the extradition of Yulia Emelyanova. On September 22, at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Yerevan, participants in the action also called on Astana not to extradite Movlaev and Emelyanova to Russia.

A resident of the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, held a protest in front of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. The message about the action was posted today in the stories section of the Instagram*-public of the support group for Movlaev, free_mansour_movlaev. The resident of Ljubljana is shown holding portraits of Mansur Movlaev and Yulia Emelyanova.

The next post shows a participant of the protest in Tokyo, who is also holding posters with portraits of Movlaev and Emelyanova. In the background, the Tokyo Tower is visible.

"Please do not extradite Yulia Emelyanova and Mansur Movlaev. For Yulia, this will mean years of torment in prison; for Mansur, it definitely means death," said the protester.

Recall that Mansur Movlaev was detained by security forces in Chechnya in 2022 and was held in an illegal prison. He escaped from there in January 2023 and made it to Kyrgyzstan. In August 2023, security forces in Kyrgyzstan detained Movlaev, who was wanted in Russia for financing extremism. A court in Bishkek sentenced Movlaev to six months in a penal colony and subsequent deportation from the country. On November 20, 2023, Movlaev was released and left Kyrgyzstan on his own to avoid being sent back home.

In May 2025, Movlaev was detained in Kazakhstan and placed under extradition arrest. The Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan ruled to extradite him to Russian security forces. In February, the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan suspended the execution of the decision to extradite Movlaev until his asylum petition is finally considered. On September 10, it became known that the cassation court in Kazakhstan found no violations in the refusal to grant asylum to Chechen native Mansur Movlaev. Movlaev, held in a Kazakhstani pre-trial detention center, attempted suicide.
