Pro-European protests in Georgian cities have been ongoing for 663 days.

Supporters of Georgia's Eurointegration took to the streets in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi on the 663rd day of protests. Demonstrators in Adjara demanded the observance of citizens' constitutional rights.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 20, on the 662nd day of continuous protests, activists gathered in the center of Tbilisi and demanded to return the country to the path of Eurointegration and free political prisoners.

Despite heavy rain in Tbilisi, opponents of the "Georgian Dream" gathered today in front of the parliament and city council building in Tbilisi for the 663rd consecutive day. Activists are making unchanged demands – to free all political prisoners and repeal repressive laws, as well as to return the country to a Euro-Atlantic course and hold free elections, writes Publika.

Demonstrators, as in previous days, brought national flags, flags of the European Union, the USA, and Ukraine, according to publications by Netgazeti and Giorgi Mumladze on Facebook*. The roadway of Rustaveli Avenue, which is under repair, is separated from the square in front of the parliament, where protesters gather, by a high metal barrier.

In Kutaisi, where supporters of Eurointegration gather in front of the city hall, at least 15 people participated in the action. Activists held flags of Georgia, the European Union, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania, according to photos published by the Info imereti page.

In Batumi, protesters, as in previous days, gathered in front of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

Demonstrators held placards reading "Freedom for political prisoners" and posters dedicated to various provisions of the Constitution: "Article 9.1 of the Constitution – The honor and dignity of a person are inviolable and are protected by the state. Where?", "Article 11.1 of the Constitution – All are equal before the law and the court. Where?", "Article 21.3 of the Constitution – The right to peaceful assembly. Where?", "The Constitution has the highest legal force. Where?", according to photos published by Batumelebi.

Participants in the protests in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Law enforcement has conducted harsh crackdowns on protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detaining protesters. During the protests, thousands of people have faced administrative prosecution.
