Kadyrov reported the dispatch of more than 76,400 fighters to the SVO zone.

More than 76,400 fighters have been sent from Chechnya to the special operation zone, reported Ramzan Kadyrov. The report was published against the backdrop of the campaign for the elections of the head of Chechnya, scheduled for September 18-20, in which Kadyrov is running for this position again.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on March 25, the head of the Chechen government, Magomed Daudov, reported that since the beginning of the military operation, 70,520 fighters have been sent from Chechnya to its zone, of which 24,500 are volunteers. According to him, about 14,000 soldiers sent from Chechnya were at that moment directly in the combat zone.

On September 8, Ramzan Kadyrov reported in his Telegram channel that more than 76,000 fighters had been sent from Chechnya to the SVO zone. "Since the beginning of the SVO, 76,434 fighters have been sent from the Chechen Republic to its zone. Our warriors are performing the assigned tasks with dignity and demonstrating high efficiency," Kadyrov wrote.

He explained that this data was voiced by Magomed Daudov during a meeting with the leaders of the security forces. Kadyrov also quoted Daudov's words that the fund named after Akhmat Kadyrov sent 44 billion 196 million rubles as support for the fighters.

It should be noted that the authorities of Chechnya regularly report on sending groups of fighters to the SVO zone. The last time they reported on sending such a group was on August 28.

The data on the total number of fighters sent from Chechnya since February 24, 2022, do not account for the number of military personnel who have been discharged, are in barracks, on leave, or have left the combat zone as part of rotation. At the same time, the regular reports from the Chechen authorities about sending groups of fighters raise doubts that all of them are going to participate in battles voluntarily, users of social networks pointed out.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that volunteers who arrived in Chechnya to sign a military contract complained in January 2025 that they were kept locked up for weeks to send them to the military operation zone instead of local residents who had paid to avoid service. According to human rights defenders, coercion to sign contracts is practiced in Chechnya, and security forces may create an "exchange fund" from volunteers arriving from other regions.
