Residents of Tuapse complained about the quality of food in schools.

Children in schools in Tuapse refuse the offered meals due to poor food quality, complained a local resident. Other residents of Tuapse, commenting on her complaint in Telegram, confirmed that students are refusing food and pointed out the scarcity of the menu and the significant difference between breakfasts of the first shift and lunches of the second.

A resident of Tuapse complained about the quality of food in city schools. According to her, not only individual students refuse food, but entire classes and even teachers. The complaint of the Tuapse resident was published on September 8 by the Telegram channel "My Tuapse".

"Children refuse food and simply remain hungry, and it's not just one or two students, but entire classes and teachers as well," the publication states.

Parents confirmed that children refuse school food due to its quality. "I ask my daughter what she ate at school, and every day she says: bread with tea, the rest is inedible," wrote Elena.

"They changed the catering company, now it's some Moscow one. We opted out of the meals because millet porridge in water and tea without sugar (and that's it). Not a great lunch for schoolchildren. My son will never eat that," stated Antonina.

"Well, I reason based on myself and my son. I didn't eat anything there. And he feels the same. Because it was impossible to eat there even in my time. And he studies in the same school I did," pointed out Kristina.

Other residents criticized the composition and organization of the school menu, pointing out the scarcity of breakfasts and the difference between the meals of the first and second shifts.

"Now the breakfast menu only includes porridge for the first shift, while the second shift has a full lunch with a first course, second course, and salad. The cost of these two meals is not particularly different. Porridge for breakfast costs 150 rubles, while a full lunch costs 220 rubles. There are big questions about this. And in general, if a child goes to the first shift, why should they eat porridge? As I was explained, because it's breakfast. But in previous years, they provided cutlets, goulash, fish dishes, and omelets; nothing prevented them from feeding children properly <…> And why is breakfast so outrageously priced? <…> Breakfast should cost 50 rubles then, not 150. There are also questions about the quality of what is prepared for children," emphasized Yana.

"I know from my family that no one among the five of us will have a hearty breakfast, and the overwhelming majority feel the same. Parents need to <…> demand proper nutrition in schools," stated user 79246 Fomenko.

As of 12:00 MSK on September 8, there are no comments on the website of the Tuapse municipal administration regarding residents' complaints about the quality of food in local schools.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of the Krasnodar region have repeatedly complained about the organization of school meals. For instance, on August 31, residents of Krasnodar complained about the mandatory payment for school meals, which, according to one of the city residents, could only be refused with a medical certificate.
