16 apartment buildings were damaged by a UAV attack in Rostov-on-Don

More than 400 windows were damaged in 16 apartment buildings in Rostov-on-Don as a result of a massive drone attack on the night of September 7. Applications for one-time assistance have been received from 144 people in Gukovo.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on the night of September 7, air defense forces neutralized about two and a half dozen drones in Novoshakhtinsk and seven districts: Azov, Chertkov, Sholokhov, Millerovo, Verkhnedonsk, Kasharsk, and Ust-Donetsk.

The head of Rostov-on-Don, Alexander Skryabin, reported that the day before, as a result of an enemy attack, 16 apartment buildings in three districts of the city sustained various damages, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, reported today on his Telegram channel.

These are mainly damages to double-glazed windows, window frames, and balconies - a total of more than 400 windows. Glass has been shattered and the cladding of the Don Public Library has been damaged. In all affected buildings, the search and rescue service has completed the dismantling of emergency structures. Headquarters have been established to accept applications, and commissions are conducting inspections to assess the damage.

Examinations of the four-entrance building in Gukovo affected by the attack are also ongoing. The special commission will make final conclusions by September 14. Access to the first and second entrances is currently restricted. Residents of the third and fourth entrances have already returned to their apartments. Applications for one-time assistance have been received from 144 people. For financial assistance due to total loss of property - from 33 people.

In the Aksai, Bagayevsky, and Myasnikovsky districts and in Bataisk, where private houses have recently been damaged due to falling debris from UAVs, local administration employees have organized damage assessments, recovery activities, and payments to residents, Slyusar clarified.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Rostov region is regularly subjected to drone attacks. Thus, on August 29, in the region, 11 people were injured during a drone attack, nine of whom were hospitalized. On August 27, during a drone attack in the Sholokhov forestry, a fire occurred.
