Two fighters from Dagestan were killed in the military operation.

Farid Shikhov and Dashdemir Ismailov were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, authorities and security forces have acknowledged the deaths of at least 2101 fighters from Dagestan.

Memorial plaques have been opened in the school of the village of Kheli-Pendzhik in the Tabasaransky district for the fallen participants of the special military operation, graduates Farid Shikhov and Dashdemir Ismailov.

Farid Shikhov signed his first contract after completing his mandatory service in 2020. He participated in the special operation in Ukraine from the very beginning. He served as a senior scout in the reconnaissance platoon of the motorized rifle regiment in the Zaporizhzhia direction, receiving a fatal injury during a drone attack.

Dashdemir Ismailov voluntarily went to the special military operation zone, participating in a combat mission as part of an assault battalion, the head of the district, Magomed Kurbanov, reported today on his Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 2101 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front.
