The arrest of blogger Remeslo was extended despite the defense's arguments.

The Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the arrest of blogger Ilya Remeslo, accused of spreading fakes about the army, until October 10. Remeslo stated that freedom of speech is enshrined in the Constitution, and the defense requested to soften the preventive measure, as the blogger cannot hide or influence the course of the investigation.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", based on the results of an examination conducted at the Serbsky Institute, the accused of spreading fakes about the army, native of Nalchik, blogger Ilya Remeslo was found sane.

The preliminary investigation into the criminal case of spreading fakes about the army by blogger Ilya Remeslo has been completed. The blogger was charged in the final version, TASS reported today.

Earlier, lawyer Badamshin stated that the defense had reviewed the conclusions of two examinations - political-linguistic and psychiatric. The blogger was charged in the final version - public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, after which he was interrogated. Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code provides for a prison sentence of five to ten years.

The investigator requested to close the session due to the possible disclosure of the secrecy of the investigation and medical documents, but the court refused. The defense stated that the request of the Investigative Committee was unsupported, and Remeslo could not influence the investigation, as it was completed. Lawyer Sergey Badamshin also stated that the blogger could not hide anywhere - he would be expelled from friendly countries on the first flight, and in unfriendly countries, he would end up in a pre-trial detention center due to being under sanctions, reports the Telegram channel "Caution, News".

"I am in custody due to committing a non-violent crime. I have 'anchors', gratitude from the president. And I am being asked for a preventive measure as if I were a murderer. The president has repeatedly spoken about the need to choose preventive measures not related to deprivation of liberty. But there is an artificial aggravation of the charges to keep me in custody," Remeslo stated in court.

The blogger also said that due to his arrest, he missed the Knowledge Day with his daughter, and he is being held in a pre-trial detention center due to a "controversial" article related to his expression of the right to freedom of speech. He stated that the arrest is an attempt to "break" him and coerce him into admitting guilt.

"I exercised my basic right to freedom of speech, which cannot be overridden by any articles, any special military operations, because this right is enshrined in the main part of our Constitution, which, it seems, both law enforcement agencies and judges have forgotten, who satisfy such requests in bulk, without considering whether this is really a private person, whether he really did something," Remeslo said.

In his opinion, at each hearing regarding the issue of sending a person to a pre-trial detention center under this article, it is necessary to consider whether it corresponds to the "basic values enshrined in the main part of the Constitution".

Despite the defense's petition and the arguments and objections of the blogger himself, the court granted the prosecution's request and extended the preventive measure in the form of detention for Remeslo until October 10.
