The beating of a peer by minors in Dagestan has led to a criminal case.

A criminal case for hooliganism has been initiated against underage residents of Makhachkala, suspected of beating a peer on the territory of one of the schools in the city.

The investigative department for the Lenin district of Makhachkala has initiated a criminal case against underage local residents. They are accused of hooliganism, which carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.

During an internet monitoring, a publication was identified about a conflict involving a group of minors that occurred on August 27, 2026, on the territory of a football field of one of the general education schools in Makhachkala. According to the information, the minors beat a peer, striking her with their hands and feet, reported the press service of the Investigative Committee of Dagestan on their Telegram channel.

"Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the actions and roles of each participant in the conflict, as well as the reasons and conditions that contributed to the commission of illegal actions," the agency's message states.

Earlier, a video recording circulated on Telegram channels with comments that on August 27, in the Reducator settlement, a group of girls aged 13-14 beat a 12-year-old schoolgirl who was walking with her younger sister in a stroller. The reason was that the girl allegedly "was showing off."

As seen in the video, a group of teenage girls surrounded their peer and spoke to her roughly. Some of the girls hit her in the face. After a while, one of them knocked the victim to the asphalt, and they began to kick her.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a teenager in Derbent was hospitalized with a fracture and a concussion after being beaten in school by 20 peers; the parents of the student complained that those responsible were trying to evade responsibility. Residents of Dagestan, commenting on the incident on social media, criticized the school administration and demanded strict punishment for those responsible.
