The collection of money for bulletproof film for the school windows caused discontent among Krasnodar residents.

Parents of students at one of the schools in Krasnodar were asked to contribute money for bulletproof film for the windows, a local resident reported. Other Krasnodar residents, commenting on his story in Telegram, were outraged by the collection of money from residents for school safety and doubted the effectiveness of such a protective measure.

A video in which one of the residents of Krasnodar talked about the fundraising for bulletproof film for the windows at school was published on September 1 by the Telegram channel "Krasnodar | Teletype".

According to the Krasnodar resident, on September 1, a message was sent to the parent chat asking for money to cover the school windows with bulletproof film. "Shouldn't the state, represented by the municipality, or the school administration be responsible for this? Or should it be the parents?" he asked.

As of 08:15 MSK on September 2, this video on the Telegram channel "Krasnodar | Teletype," which has about 126,000 subscribers, had gained 6,640 views and 12 comments.

Commenters, identifying themselves as residents of Krasnodar, were outraged that money for school safety was being collected from parents. "According to Federal Law No. 273, ensuring the safety of students and staff is a direct responsibility of educational institutions. That's it," emphasized Marina.

"There is plenty of money in the budget. They should take it from paid parking," said a user with the nickname SDD.

"Parents, collectively tell them to stop their fundraising. Don't tolerate this," urged Ira Kyznechikova.

Other commenters doubted that bulletproof film would enhance the safety of students. "You can't cover a double-glazed window with bulletproof film; it will fly off in one big piece from the blast wave. It's better to use regular film to minimize glass shards," stated a user with the nickname Anesteziolog.

"How many students have been harmed by broken windows? Is someone trying to promote the sale of bulletproof film?" asked Viktor.

"If it's bulletproof film, it's only for sand for headlights, nothing more... For broken glass shards, you need a special double-glazed window right away, and even then..." stated Anton Iron'ов.

As of 08:15 MSK on September 2, there were no comments on the website of the Department of Education of the Krasnodar Administration regarding the local resident's complaint about collecting money from parents for covering school windows with bulletproof film.
