Dagestani drivers complained about the worsening situation with gasoline.

The Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan announced a deterioration in the situation with fuel supply in the republic and warned of the depletion of stocks at some gas stations. Local drivers, commenting on the union's statement on social media, complained about the lack of gasoline and queues at gas stations.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on August 17, drivers talked about the difficult situation with fuel in Dagestan. A correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" then found only two out of ten checked gas stations operating on Akushinsky Avenue in Makhachkala, while motorists reported an increase in gasoline expenses.

Entrepreneurs of Dagestan warned about the depletion of fuel stocks

The Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan stated on its Telegram channel on August 24 that the fuel crisis in the republic is developing according to an unfavorable scenario: at gas stations, the tanks are either almost empty or the available stocks are close to depletion and are only enough for a short period.

It has become extremely difficult to purchase fuel, and the available volumes are mainly coming through intermediaries, in some cases only for cash and at prices significantly higher than before. This puts the owners of independent gas stations in a difficult financial position, the union pointed out.

"The owners of independent gas stations find themselves in a difficult situation: they face a choice. If they consider the speculative purchase price in the retail price, it will cause a wave of discontent among residents. If they maintain the previous prices, the entrepreneur is forced to operate at a loss," the message from the Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan stated.

The consequences of further deterioration of the situation were assessed by the union as a threat not only to gas station owners. "If the situation does not change, there may indeed come a moment in Dagestan when there will simply be nothing to refuel cars with – this will strike not only at business but also at the economy and social stability as a whole," the message stated.

Drivers reported a lack of gasoline and searches for operating gas stations

The statement of the Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan was published on August 25 by the Instagram*-public hello_makhachkala, which has about 195 thousand users. As of 09:20 MSK on August 25, this post received 177 likes and 55 comments. Users pointed out the lack of fuel.

Other users reported a worsening situation with fuel and demanded a solution to the problem.

When it comes to making money, they are first, but when it gets tough, suddenly everyone around is to blame," stated user finik_gdr.
