A resident of Stavropol was convicted for desecrating the mass grave of Soviet soldiers.

A 40-year-old resident of the Stanitsa Starozbilenenskaya was sentenced to ten months of corrective labor for desecration of military graves.

According to the investigation and the court, on May 22, 2025, in the Stanitsa Starozbilenenskaya, the convicted person, in a state of alcohol intoxication, desecrated the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland at the base of the cultural heritage site of regional significance "Mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died during the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars."

The man admitted his guilt in the committed crime and expressed remorse for his actions, reports the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Stavropol Territory.

He was found guilty of committing a crime under part 2 of article 243.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (desecration of military graves that commemorate those who died defending the Fatherland) 1 . The court sentenced him to 10 months of corrective labor.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a resident of the village of Rostovanovsky, Ekaterina Zhulenko, was sentenced to two years in prison for desecrating the burial sites of participants in the military operation in Ukraine, committed out of hatred or enmity.
