Residents of Kabardino-Balkaria complained about the high costs of preparing children for school.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, a complete set of clothing, shoes, and school supplies for one child costs about 30 thousand rubles, local residents indicated on social media. One participant in the discussion also complained about the lack of regional payments for preparing children from large families for the school year.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", parents of schoolchildren in Kabardino-Balkaria have repeatedly complained about the annual increase in prices for school supplies. According to them, every year preparing children for school costs them more than the previous year. Parents of children previously noted that the main expenses are school uniforms and shoes, while textbooks and stationery are less of a concern.

According to one of the residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, when preparing children for school, her acquaintances choose backpacks costing 20-30 thousand rubles. She noted that she raises four children, so such purchases create a significant burden on the family budget. The woman wondered why a cheap functional backpack is perceived by some parents as a sign of poverty.

"Is a backpack costing 2-3 thousand rubles already a "shame" and not a functional item?" – the resident of the republic wondered. Her comment was posted on July 30 on the Instagram*-page goloskbr. As of 08:45 Moscow time on August 2, this post received 545 likes and 431 comments.

Preparing one child requires tens of thousands of rubles, discussion participants indicated. Parents shared that such amounts are spent on backpacks, stationery, clothing, and shoes.

"I spent only on stationery and a backpack about 13 thousand rubles," – wrote kamila.vagitovna.

"I collected everything together for the older one for 27 thousand rubles," – noted rometa_nazarova.

"30 thousand rubles is quite enough for my daughter. And then, if needed, I buy more," – indicated zhanna_ianchenko1.

For large families, expenses multiply, even if parents choose inexpensive items and use discounts. Commenters provided examples of costs for preparing two and three children.

"I spent about 30 thousand rubles for two. I bought in advance, looking for sales, discounts, promotions," – noted user master_okon_kbr.

Reusing items significantly reduces expenses. Some parents shared that children use the same backpack for several school years and also use items passed on from other families.
