Three parties decided to compete for seats in the Chechen parliament.

Three electoral associations announced their participation in the elections for the deputies of the Chechen parliament: CPRF, "Fair Russia" and "United Russia"; they submitted documents to the republican election commission.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 8, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, visited the republican election commission, submitting documents for participation in the elections on the unified voting day of September 20. He received permission to open a special election account. The next day, the Chechen election commission accepted documents from two candidates for the position of head of the region - the chairman of the Public Chamber of Chechnya, Ismail Denilkhanov, and the deputy of the republican parliament, Khalid Nakaev.

The working group for the acceptance and verification of documents of the Chechen election commission accepted from authorized representatives of the "United Russia" party a package of documents necessary for certifying the list of candidates, which includes 62 candidates, the Chechen election commission reported on its Telegram channel.

Three electoral associations announced their participation in the elections for the representative body of the republic: CPRF - 52 candidates, Fair Russia - 45 candidates, "United Russia" - 62 candidates.

In the fifth convocation of the Chechen parliament, three factions are represented: "United Russia" (37 seats), "Fair Russia" (2 seats), and CPRF (2 seats).

It should be noted that in the parliamentary elections of 2021, the party "New People" won in the village of Koren-Benoy in the Nozhai-Yurt district of Chechnya, while only 0.92 percent of the village's voters voted for "United Russia", according to the election commission's data. In precinct No. 510 in the Urus-Martan district, 48.81% of voters (531 people) voted for the ruling party. This result may reflect the real opinion of voters in Chechnya, human rights defenders indicated.

In Chechnya, over nearly twenty years, mechanisms for controlling election results have been established, noted the author of the blog on "Caucasian Knot" "Chechnya Inside". "To control the elections, local authorities created more than 200 operational headquarters under the patronage of officials, as well as a team for 'counteracting information leaks about violations in the elections'. Yes, that's right - not a team to counteract 'leaks' during voting, but against 'information about violations'," the note states in "How votes were manipulated in Chechnya's elections".
