The name of the killed fighter from Dagestan in Ukraine has been announced.

Aidamir Gadzhiev from the Lak district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have officially recognized at least 2034 servicemen from Dagestan as killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", as of July 14, officials publicly named the names of at least 2033 combatants from Dagestan killed in Ukraine.

Information about another serviceman from Dagestan killed in Ukraine was released by the administration of the Lak district.

Aidamir Gadzhiev was posthumously awarded for participating in combat operations. The Order of Courage was handed over by the district military commissar to the father of the deceased, Gadji Gadzhiev, the official Telegram channel of the municipality reported.

The age and biographical details of Gadzhiev were not provided in the officials' message.

Thus, at least 2034 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

In May, it became known that a native of the Lak district, Said Amayev, was killed in Ukraine. Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially announced by the authorities. Sergey Melikov, who headed Dagestan in February 2022, was the first among representatives of the authorities to announce that a Russian military officer, Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov, was killed in Ukraine.
