Residents of Abkhazia complained about the rise in fuel prices.

In the border areas of Abkhazia with Russia, fuel prices have risen. In some gas stations, prices have increased by more than 10 percent, residents of the republic reported on Telegram.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in a number of regions of Russia, including the Krasnodar Krai bordering Abkhazia, the fuel issue has been relevant for about a month. There are long queues at gas stations, and limits on gasoline dispensing are in effect. Drivers in southern Russia are massively trying to switch their cars to gas. On July 12, residents of Astrakhan reported that due to the fuel issue, they have started to use their personal vehicles less often, walk more, and take buses more frequently.

A post about drivers in Abkhazia noticing a rise in fuel prices was published on July 11 by the Telegram channel "Emergency Abkhazia".

The post included a photo of a gas station sign indicating that the price of AI-92 is 78 rubles per liter, AI-95 – 90 rubles per liter, and diesel fuel – 81 rubles per liter.

This post in the Telegram channel "Emergency Abkhazia", which has nearly 43,000 subscribers, had about 3.8 thousand views and nine comments as of 06:55 Moscow time on July 13.

"The 95 is already 90 rubles, unbelievable," wrote Aleksandr.

"From 78 rubles to 90 rubles – that's already too much," emphasized Patriotka.

"It was 87.5," noted a user with the nickname Art, without specifying which fuel he was referring to.

"I’m on gas," noted Andrey.

"I feel like we will all start switching to gas now, otherwise it’s just impossible," replied Patriotka to him in another comment.

Russians who vacationed in Abkhazia noted that there are no queues at gas stations in the republic.

"In Abkhazia, there is gasoline. Closer to the border, it’s 90 rubles per liter, along the Sukhum highway, it’s 86-87 rubles per liter," wrote a resident of Voronezh, Darya Remizova, on her social media page on July 11.

"In Abkhazia, everything is available, there’s no hype, and there are no queues either," noted a resident of Sochi, Alena Zernova, on her page on VKontakte on July 10.

"In Abkhazia, there is always and everywhere an unlimited amount of gasoline. The quality is good, the car didn’t complain," wrote a resident of Horlivka, Sergey Lavrenov, on his VKontakte page on July 10.

As of 06:55 Moscow time, there are no comments on the website of the Ministry of Energy of Abkhazia regarding residents' complaints about rising fuel prices.

Recall that the fuel issue in Russia arose against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries, including those located in the south of the country. The problem with components for installing gas cylinder equipment on cars has arisen not only in the Astrakhan region but also in other regions. This has led to long waits for changing fuel systems, and prices for installing gas equipment and gas have significantly increased. Switching to gas is not a universal solution and is not suitable for everyone, drivers surveyed by the "Caucasian Knot" stated on July 11.
