About 30 people were evacuated in the village of Tashkapur Levashinsky district due to the river overflowing its banks. In a number of districts of Dagestan, as a result of heavy precipitation that fell on July 7-8, flooding occurred, washouts of roads and bridges.

62 settlements remain without electricity in six municipal districts. A total of more than 8.4 thousand households have been disconnected, where 36 thousand people live, including more than 7.5 thousand children. 13 settlements remain without gas supply in three municipal districts, Interfax reported today, citing the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Dagestan.

In particular, power outages have been recorded in a number of villages in the Akushinsky, Buynaksky, Gunibsky, Dakhadayevsky, Kulinsky, Levashinsky, Rutulsky, Tabasaransky, Charodinsky, Shamilsky, and Untsukulsky districts, the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations informs on its Telegram channel.

In addition, heavy rains led to the flooding of 14 residential houses and 18 household plots in two districts of the republic. In the village of Tashkapur in the Levashinsky district, there was a threat of flooding five residential houses due to the rising water level in the Kazikumukh Koysu River; rescuers evacuated 27 people, including nine children.

The agency clarified that, according to the latest data, 106 people have been evacuated, including 34 children, who are staying with relatives.

This morning it became known that a state of emergency has been declared in the Gergebil district of Dagestan due to flooding. "The reason for this decision was the deterioration of the situation in several villages of the district, where the water level continues to rise and does not decrease," the district administration said in a message on its Telegram channel.
