Law enforcement officials are conducting searches in Gagik Tsarukyan's house.

Investigators are conducting searches in the home of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, Gagik Tsarukyan, and in all his companies. The area around the politician's private house is cordoned off by armed soldiers.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the "Prosperous Armenia" party, led by Gagik Tsarukyan, along with other Armenian political parties, previously issued a statement regarding the illegitimacy of the authorities and plans to seek their removal.

Employees of the Investigative Committee of Armenia are conducting searches in the home of oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan, reported today by the news agency "Armenia News" citing the press secretary of the agency Kima Avdalyan.

The press secretary of Gagik Tsarukyan Ivetta Tonoyan published a video today on Instagram* showing several men in civilian clothes standing at the gates, as well as a group of people in military uniforms behind the gates – on the territory of the house. In the description of the video, she noted that law enforcement officials did not allow the lawyers to enter Tsarukyan's house.

Searches are also taking place in the offices of all companies belonging to Tsarukyan's "Multi Group" concern, as well as in the apartments of the directors of these organizations, Tonoyan wrote today on her Facebook* page.

It concerns more than ten companies – "Araratcement", Yerevan Cognac and Vodka Plant "Ararat", "Multi Wellness" complex, "Olimpavan", "Multi Grand" hotel complex, and others, explained the publication News.am.

Tsarukyan is unaware of the reasons for the searches, the publication quoted Ivetta Tonoyan's words. She clarified that Tsarukyan, his mother Roza Tsarukyan, and other family members are at home.

Investigators arrived for searches at Tsarukyan's house early this morning; his associates reported that the house was cordoned off by people in military uniforms with automatic weapons. "At the moment, actions are underway; we do not yet know what exactly is happening, but we know that the house is effectively surrounded and some actions are being carried out inside the house, that’s all for now," – the publication quoted the words of a member of the "Prosperous Armenia" party Arman Abovyan.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during the election campaign in May that the "Araratcement" plant, owned by the family of the leader of the opposition "Prosperous Armenia" Gagik Tsarukyan, would be nationalized. After that, the prosecutor's office announced a case regarding violations during the privatization of the enterprise. Before the elections, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in court demanding the annulment of the privatization of the "Araratcement" enterprise.

It is worth noting that earlier analysts pointed out that the "Prosperous Armenia" party, the "Armenia" bloc of former president Robert Kocharyan, and the "Strong Armenia" bloc of entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan are the most pro-Russian participants in the parliamentary elections in Armenia.

Earlier, seven parties challenged the final decision of the Central Electoral Commission regarding the parliamentary elections in the Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court of Armenia rejected the applications of the seven political forces contesting the results of the parliamentary elections on June 7 and upheld the decision of the Central Electoral Commission on the voting results.

The parliamentary elections effectively became a referendum on the future of the current authorities and Armenia's foreign policy course. A reference titled "2026 Elections to the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia" has been published on "Caucasian Knot".
