Opponents of the "Georgian Dream" have been protesting in Tbilisi for 583 days.

On the 583rd day of continuous protests, participants gathered outside the Parliament of Georgia demanded the release of women political prisoners, including Nanu Sander, who was convicted in the case of the attempted storming of the presidential residence. The activist again reported inhumane treatment in prison.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 2, on the 582nd day of continuous actions, participants gathered in front of the Parliament of Georgia demanded open elections and the release of prisoners of conscience, as well as opposed politically motivated dismissals.

Supporters of Georgia's Eurointegration with national flags and EU flags gathered in front of the Parliament building in Tbilisi for the 583rd evening in a row. Activists with flags stood at the edge of the sidewalk near the roadway of Rustaveli Avenue, while others were on the sidewalk and square in front of the Parliament, communicating with each other. At least 100 people participated in the gathering, according to a video published by Mtavari.

The protesters held banners: "Fire to Putin and the Kremlin, glory to the heroes", "Don't get used to the occupation", "Women in Ivanishvili's captivity" and "Freedom for Nanu Sander", according to photos published by photographer Georgy Mosiashvili (Mo Se) and Netgazeti on Facebook*.

37-year-old Nanu Sander, sentenced to seven years, again complained about the conditions in women's colony No. 5 in Gardabani. According to the activist, for nine months she has faced pressure and violations of her rights, as well as being deprived of medical assistance and proper nutrition.

Sander was subjected to humiliating treatment immediately after being transferred to this prison. "The activist claims that the prison guards insulted her for about 40 minutes, refused to give her water despite her deteriorating condition, and demanded she undergo a strip search in a gynecological chair," writes "News-Georgia".

Nanu Sander also stated that the administration of the facility isolates her from other prisoners for long periods and restricts her correspondence. She added that psychological pressure in the colony pushed her to attempt suicide. The Special Penitentiary Service of Georgia rejected all accusations, stating that the convict is provided with all necessary medical services.

Protest participants in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces have conducted harsh dispersals of protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. During the protests, thousands of people have faced administrative prosecution.
