More than 400 claims have been filed by owners of houses damaged by the flood in Mamedkala.

In Mamedkala, more than 500 homes were damaged during the flooding in early April. Residents whose homes were damaged filed more than 400 claims for compensation.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," the village of Mamedkala, where a dam breach left nearly 260 homes and their gardens in the flood zone, became one of the hardest-hit settlements in Dagestan. Hundreds of volunteers arrived to assist local residents. The victims primarily receive assistance from volunteers, villagers said.

More than 400 applications from residents of Mamedkala whose homes were damaged during the flood in early April have been received by employees of the Ministry of Construction of Dagestan, RIA Dagestan reported on June 20, citing the first deputy head of the department, Salam Gasainiev.

Gasainiev also stated that more than 500 homes in Mamedkala were damaged during the dam collapse.

On June 20, the Chairman of the Government of Dagestan, Magomed Ramazanov, visited the application collection point and assured that the republic's leadership will provide phased support to all victims.
