The court ordered re-voting at two polling stations in Armenia.

A Yerevan court has refused to hear the Prosperous Armenia party's claims regarding the Central Election Commission's decision to annul the voting results at two polling stations. The court ordered a rerun of the vote at these polling stations.

As reported by the Caucasian Knot, the opposition parties Prosperous Armenia and Wings of Unity, as well as the Armenia bloc, demanded that the election commission recount the votes at 555 polling stations, while Strong Armenia demanded that the results at one polling station be annulled. On June 11, the results at two polling stations in Armenia were annulled by the Central Election Commission. As a result, Prosperous Armenia lost 213 votes. The results of the voting at polling station 12/13, located in the village of Abovyan, have been declared invalid. If the annulment of the results at this and two other polling stations prevents Prosperous Armenia from passing the electoral threshold, the Central Election Commission is obligated to hold a rerun of the vote at these polling stations, the lawyer stated.

The court rejected the Prosperous Armenia party's claims to overturn Central Election Commission decisions #254 and #255-A, which invalidated the results of two polling stations, News.Am reported.

At the same time, the court ordered a rerun of the vote at these stations, Armenia Today reported, citing the defense.

A defense attorney, Aram Vardevanyan, stated that the CEC decisions were made in the absence of direct legal regulation. He also noted that party representatives were not notified of the CEC meeting and did not participate in its work, the publication writes.

The Prosperous Armenia Party filed two lawsuits in the Administrative Court against CEC decisions No. 254-A and No. 255-A, which invalidated the voting results at two polling stations. Due to the invalidation of the voting results at polling stations 10/51 and 35/65, the Prosperous Armenia Party lost more than 200 votes, which affected the election threshold. The party claimed that the results from those polling stations where the PAP received a significant number of votes were invalidated, Yerevan Today reports.

Oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia Party, former President Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc, and businessman Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc are the most pro-Russian participants in the Armenian parliamentary elections, analysts previously noted.
